Babuskin Ivan V. |
Ivan V. Babuskin, militante bolscevico |
Ivan V. Babuskin, a Bolshevik Militant |
Born in 1873, shot at the age of thirty-three in 1906 after the revolution of 1905, in which he took a very active part, Babuskin was one of the first Bolshevik workers. Lenin was particularly fond of him and considered him one of the prominent representatives of the first generation of Marxist workers. An exemplary worker who, overcoming the difficulties of a tiring and extenuating job, educated himself culturally and politically, in this way sharpening the weapons of his innate fighting spirit. His work and experience, described in his memoirs and in other writings as yet unpublished in Italian and collected in this book, are the best demonstration of the communist assumption that “the emancipation of the working class must be the act of the working class itself”. |
